Bill Russell was a B-24 machine gunner with 37 missions when he was shot down and became a POW. He also endured a forced march of many days in freezing weather.

Fred Bahlau was in the 101st Airborne. He was a paratrooper who jumped into Normandy on D-Day June 6th, 1944. Fred was completely surrounded at Bastogne.
