Warner Klemm USN

Watch as Navy veteran Warner Klemm tells you about the “Day of Infamy” as President Roosevelt called the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, Dec. 7th 1941.  Which kills nearly 3,000 people.   Warner was stationed aboard the USS Dobbin a destroyer tender about 200 yards to the stern of the USS Arizona with a perfect view of all the ships on Battleship Row.  Warner spent the next five days picking up burned and injured sailors that were in the oil covered burning waters around the Arizona, USS Oklahoma and others that were bombed and torpedoed that day.  He had very little food and literally no sleep for the entire five days.  I have about five interviews of men who were at Pearl Harbor that day but, this is the most complete description that I have heard from a man who was there that day.
