Larry Martin’s World War II In Their Own Words series today will present the DVD interview of Jim Lewis. Jim was US Navy Submariner stationed in the Pacific Theater of Operations. Listen as Jim tells what it is like being several hundred feet below the Pacific Ocean while a Japanese Destroyer is dropping depth charges on his submarine. Jim also tells about when he and two other sailors were transferred off of one submarine that then went on a War Patrol where she was sunk with the loss of the entire crew.
