Bill Rappley 9th Inf. Div. ETO

BILL WILL BE AT PROGRAM TO DO Q AND A WITH AUDIENCE.  Bill fought as a Combat Infantryman around the Hartz Mountains.  He was present when the Russians and Americans met at the Elba River in 1945.  Bill also was a prison guard in France where there were condemned men.  He also witnessed the transfer of two German soldiers to the Russians who immediately shot the Germans.  Bill felt like the American officer who turned the Germans over to the Russians should have been court-martial ed for their deaths.
